The mission of Makam New York Inc. is to promote the creation, performance and appreciation of Ottoman Turkish music and arts; and to serve the artistic community and the general public by providing research, education and presentation of music and the arts based on and inspired by Ottoman and Turkish heritage. By fostering education and participation in the arts, Makam New York Inc. enriches intercultural and artistic exchange.
