6a:T403,

The origin of Blues, Gnawa is an African Sufi mystical music combining lyrics with pentatonic rhythms invoking ancestors and the spirits of nature to promote healing through trance.
Originally practiced by Africans during slavery and the slave trade dating back to the 11th century, Gnawa music today remains an intangible heritage.

Raise your spirits with our second season of the Gnawa Zone! Curated by Moroccan maestro Mehdi Qamoum is Gnawa Zone 2.

This project is funded by Viewcy Members and the Universal Creator Income Fund. Become a member and support artists around the world in curating and creating more music and preserving our cultural heritage.

Featuring Mehdi Qamoum and Mohamed Montari.
