This session features Vivek Sadasivam, a Carnatic singer, hailing from the direct Shishyaparampara of the Saint composer Nadajyothi Muthuswamy Dikshitar. His initial training into Carnatic music came from his grandfather Late A. Anantharaman Iyer and grand-aunt Late A. Champakavalli.
He will be accompanied by Vittal Rangan on Violin, Sri Aniruddha Bhat on Mridangam and Smt Latha Ramachar on Khanjira.

It is known for its complexity and intricacy, with a vast array of melodic and rhythmic patterns that are deeply rooted in Indian culture and tradition. The beauty of Carnatic music lies in its ability to evoke a wide range of emotions in the listener, from joy and ecstasy to sadness and contemplation. The use of improvisation and intricate ornamentation adds to the beauty of the music, making each performance a unique and unforgettable experience. Carnatic music is not just a form of entertainment but a way of life, a means of connecting with the divine and experiencing a sense of spiritual transcendence. Its timeless beauty continues to captivate audiences all over the world, making it one of the most revered forms of music in India and beyond.
