Pandit Debaprasad Chakraborty is one of the finest Sitar exponents of India. He is recognised as one of the leading performer of the instrument Sitar. Born in a family of musical tradition, he started grooming at the age of five under his father Sri Adhindra Mohan Chakraborty, also received rigorous training from pandit Ajay Shinha Roy in the stly of playing which is widely known as "Baba Allauddin Khan's Senia Maihar Gharan" Including valuable training from pandit Gokul Nag of " Bishnupur Gharana". As a top Grade artist he has enriched his music based on "Dhrupad style" He had performed major musical festivals in India and abroad.
