Performing Arts: Indian Classical music, Bangla music and promote Bangla culture to new generation. Saved Photo The main mission of Sangeet Parishad is to spread the most correct form of South Asian music as well as increase awareness of Bengali culture among different cultural communities of NYC. In every program Sangeet Parishad concentrates on one genre of South Asian Music, this program will allow the students to be exposed to an important genre of South Asian music, Bengali folk music. While verious artist will perform folk songs Which includes students of Sangeet Parishad. Audience members will learn about the important of folk music in the Bengali culture and how it work and how it’s affect to the youth today. At the same time this program also help and increasing awareness of the Bengali culture among other members of the community by allowing free access to all.
