ABOUT
SANGHAMITRA SARKAR - a scholar of NCPA MUMBAI and a Master's final year student in Hindustani classical music from university of Calcutta, initiated to learn Hindustani Raaga Music at the age of 2 from her first Guru,her father Shri Manoj Kanti Sarkar. Later, she got her training from Lt. Dr. Mrinal Chakraborty for 3 years. In 2009, she shifted from Tripura to Kolkata with her mother Smt. Tapati Pal Sarkar to have the taleem in Hindustani Classical Music, from VIDHUSHI KAUSHIKI CHAKRABORTY JI. She was under guidance of ma’am from 2009 tO 2012. She joined SHRUTINANDAN 2012, under the guidance of GURU PANDIT AJOY CHAKRABORTY Ji .She had been guided by Shri Deborshee Bhattacharya and Shri Anol Chatterjee in Shrutinandan. Presently she is getting the Taleem from GURUJEE PANDIT AJOY CHAKRABORTY JI . Some of her achievements are as follows:- From the very beginning she used to attain several prizes belongs to different fields. She got 1st prize several times in musical competitions which were held in Tripura. In a very childhood she entices all the people’s attention of Tripura by her “Loko sangeet”. In 2006 , she got 1st position in “lokoshree” competition in state level. In 2009 , in another loko sangeet competition which was held by Government of Tripura named “Adoitya MallaBarman Utsab” she got 1st in that too. In 2012 ,she got “Best Singer” award and as well as 1st rank in khayal , bhajan which was organized by Nikhil Bango Parijat Cultural Forum ,in Kolkata. She did some tv shows in Tripura as well as Kolkata. In 2013 ,she got chance to present herself along with KAUSHIKI ma’am on AKAASH 8. In 2016 , she placed 1st in MURARI SMRITI SANGEET Competition in khayal. In 2018 , in INTER COLLEGE Competition by CALCUTTA UNIVERSITY , she got 1st rank in Bhajan , Najrul Geeti and 3rd in khayal. In 2018 , She received scholarship from NCPA, Mumbai in 2018 She had done her first solo performance of kheyal and bhajan in Kolkata in GURU JYAN PRAKASH SANCTRUM, Srutinandan. In 2019 ,she got 1st rank in dhrupad in Inter College Competition by Calcutta University. In 2021 she rank third in all India youth festival in Hindustani classical music. In 2022 she has been Awarded by Dr. Bani Gupta Memorial Award from Rotary club of Kolkata . Sanghamitra did numerous performance in various city like Tripura, Mumbai she had done solo performance in Mumbai, which was organised by National centre for performing arts .
