বেহালায় হাতেখড়ি বাবা বাবুল ভট্টাচার্যীর কাছে। পরবর্তীতে ICCR এর বৃত্তি নিয়ে ভারতে সংগীতের পড়াশোনা শেষ করেন। সংগীতে (বেহালায়) অনার্স, মাস্টার্স, ও পি.এইচ.ডি সম্পন্ন করেন। দীর্ঘ বছর ভারতে থাকাকালীন অনেক গুনীজনের সান্নিধ্য পাওয়ার সুযোগ হয়। তিনি গুরু পন্ডিত ভি. জি. যোগ ও প্রফেসর ভি.সি. রানাড়ে সাহেবের কাছে বেহালায় তালীম গ্রহন করেন। তাছাড়াও ঐ সময়ে অনেক গুনীজনের সান্নিধ্যে শিক্ষা লাভের সূযোগ পান। তার মধ্যে শ্রীমতী ড. এন রাজম, শ্রীমতী সুলয়া ব্যানার্জি, শ্রীমতী সুলোচনা বৃহষ্পতি'র নাম উল্লেখনীয়। ১৯৯৪ থেকে ২০০৮ অবধি ভারতে পড়ালেখা শেষ করার পর দেশে এসে বিভিন্ন সাংগীতিক কার্যক্রমের সাথে নিজেকে যুক্ত করেন। বর্তমানে সরকারি সংগীত কলেজ-এ সহকারী অধ্যাপক এর পদে তথা যন্ত্রসংগীত বিভাগের প্রধান হিসেবে দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত আছেন। দেশের প্রাচীন সংগীত কেন্দ্র "ছায়ানট সংগীত বিদ্যায়তন "এ শুদ্ধসংগীত বিভাগে বেহালার শিক্ষাগুরুর পদে যুক্ত আছেন। নিজ উদ্দ্যোগে "সর্বজয়া" নামে একটি সংগীত দল দক্ষতার সাথে পরিচালনার কাজেও নিজেকে যুক্ত রেখেছেন, যেখানে শুধু মাত্র কণ্ঠ সংগীত-ই নয়, বাদ্যযন্ত্র সংগীতও প্রাধান্য পায় সমভাবে। In the heaven, is with her father Babul Bhattacharjee.
