Subhasish Chandra Bhawal was born in a family of musical stalwarts and exponents of Hindustani Classical vocal music, Subhasish Bhawal is one of the most eminent artistes in the field of Hindustani Classical Vocal music. Growing up in an environment of music Subhasish's childhood witnessed the profound influence of music and he received his first music lessons in Tabla from his father Shree Sunil Chandra Bhawal (disciple of Pandit Anil Palit, who was disciple of Padmavibhushan Pandit Kishan Maharaj) Young Subhasish went on to receive his first vocal lessons from Sangeetacharya Pandit Amaresh Chandra Chawdhury (disciple of Ustad Dabir Khan Sahab, a vocalist and veena player 'veenkar' on Gauhar vani miyan Taansen / Ramtanu Pandey traditions from 1562) of Rampur Senia Gharana with Dhrupad. After Pandit Chawdhury's demise, Subhasish received his talim from his son Pandit Samaresh Chawdhury, an eminent vocalist and a disciple of legendary Sitar maestro Bharat Ratna Pandit Ravi Shankar. He also sought his musical training under the guidance of the country's most eminent 'Vaageyakara' and vocalist Pandit Ramashreya Jha (Ramrang) in Allahabad (UP, India). His mesmerizing journey continued, and he thereafter received some of the most treasured lessons in vocal music from none other than the legendary vocalist, Padmashree Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar of Agra Gwalior and Jaipur Gharana in I T C Sangeet Research Academy. Subhasish is the Founder, President, and Hindustani Classical Vocal Guru of Veneration Institute of Culture (established in 2014 in Kolkata West Bengal India). He is promoting Indian culture through this institute. Not only does he teaches music but also enlightens the disciples how to respect all cultures, traditions, and relations with each other. How to build the musical mind and behavior, how to use this music for oneself and human society.
