ABOUT
Suromurchhana, envisioned by Late Sangeet Vidushi Malabika Kanan, was founded in 2007 in Kolkata by Sanjoy Banerjee. It follows the footsteps of much revered Indian Classical music Maestros Late Sangeet Viduhshi Malabika Kanan and Late Pt A Kanan under the mentorship of their worthy successor Sanjoy Banerjee. Suromurchhana’s primary activities are to teach music, organize concerts and offer workshops and seminars on vocal and instrumental music. Instruction is provided to children and adults both one on one and in a group setting. Concerts are organized to present reputed classical musicians in an intimate setting. Classes are offered in the US, Kolkata in India and online to students around the world.
